(All Spoilers are Marked as Such)
With the completion of the fourth and final book (for now) in The Bartender Mage series, it's time to begin work on a new project!
The next book will involve a half-orc green witch, his goth witch friend, and a castle full of shifters. Right now, I am expecting for it to be an M/M/M closed poly romance... but we'll see what the characters have to say once they meet! Expect this bewitching book to arrive in January 2025.
Still on my to-do list:
*A short story about a certain red gargoyle from The Bartender Mage, and a faun botanist.
*A disabled vet with karma powers, his best friend (that he killed), and a displaced angel.
*Various erotica.
This 4-book series follows the story of Leif, a bartender and novice mage, Tucker, a canine shifter and magical detective, and Rahul, charming djinn and private eye. Together, the three are working to build themselves a loving poly relationship while handling the occasional magical case that comes their way.
You can expect frequent references to male anatomy, lots of kissing, a bit of mystery, action, and magic, and, of course, a happily ever after.
The world of Mythblood and Magic stories is "contemporary paranormal", where you're just as likely to see a troll out walking their dog, as you are a demon ordering an everything-hotdog from a street vendor.
In a world filled with powerful rune mages, trans druids, himbro gargoyles, sexy shifters, and deific djinn, the most outlandish thing you might encounter is the fact that in this setting, the U.S. has universal health care, which is how you know it's fantasy.
The Bartender Mage is cozy, low-angst, paranormal romance involving magic, shifters, mythical creatures, and lots of references to what's contained in someone's pants (assuming that they're wearing any). The books are Romance first and foremost, but do contain a strong Adventure subplot.
The Main Character and Love Interests are cis-gendered men, two homosexuals and one pansexual, in a loving poly relationship.
As an author, I enjoy good, healthy communication between characters, and find the "third-act breakup due to miscommunication" trope to be vastly overplayed, so don't expect it here.
The Bartender Mage series contains open-door, explicit sex without euphemisms. Depending upon your rating scale, this is probably 3.5 out of 5 on the spicy level. While there is some important (and fun) character development that is involved in the sex scenes, you can feel free to skim through them without missing too terribly much if it is not to your taste.
All depicted sex scenes involve only the three main characters.
Major kinks, if any, will be specified in each individual summary on the Books and Short Stories page, and you will soon see Knotting and Muscle Worship, but in general most of the sex is fairly vanilla, if enthusiastically sensual, consensual, and polyamorous. If you're looking for dubcon, BDSM, or other fetishes, I can suggest a few other series by some amazing queer authors, but you are unlikely to find those here.
The author of the book is Donovan Snow. That's me! Just your simple gay guy who has a love of writing.
